FRIED HALOUMI ON MIXED GREENS WITH AVOCADO

The salty, resistant bite of halloumi is irresistible to me. I absolutely love it. Paired with a fresh green salad, this makes for a tasty lunch or satisfying dinner. This recipe has it all, salty, creamy and fresh with lots of texture. Its a sensory treat!

INGREDIENTS
● 1 tbsp Avocado Oil
● 156 grams Halloumi (halved, patted dry) / 5 ½ OZ
● 3 cups Mixed Greens
● 1 Avocado (pit removed, sliced or cubed)
● 1 tbsp Sunflower Seeds
● 1 tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
● Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
DIRECTIONS
In a pan, heat the avocado oil over medium-high heat. Add the halloumi slices and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until browned.
Divide the mixed greens between bowls and arrange halloumi and avocado. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds and season with salt and pepper to your liking. Enjoy.
NOTES
To get more flavor rub your choice of dried herbs or spices onto the halloumi before frying.
